How to add a favicon to your Blogger blog
Written by Malin on September 23rd, 2007 -Here is a little tutorial on how to add a favicon to your Blogger/Blogspot blog. A favicon is the little image next to the website address in your browser.
- Check out my How do I add a favicon? post I made earlier. Follow the steps in Option one to create the favicon. Then follow the steps on the FavIcon from Pics site.
- Choose to download the favicon from the site, when downloaded - extract it on your computer and then look in the “extra” folder.
- Now you can go to for example Photobucket, and upload either the animated_favicon1.gif if you want it to be animated or the preview_16×16.png for the plain image. I chose the last one and renamed it to favicon.png and uploaded it to my Photobucket account.
- Then go to your Blogger admin panel and click on the template tab and then on Edit HTML.
- Then add this code before the
</head>in your template (replace the URL with your own link to the image!):
<link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="http://img.yourphotobucketaccount.com/favicon.png" />
Then save it! And you’re done!
Check out my blogger test site to see my favicon in action!

Written by Malin on September 21st, 2007 -Christmas is approaching really fast. And before that it’s Halloween and Thanksgiving! It’s time to think about those Christmas gifts! Mom needs one, dad needs one, and well my brother finally deserves to get one! Oh, let’s not forget the dogs!
Then there is the money issue. Christmas is really expensive so that’s why I’m going to use coupons. They can actually save a lot of money buying Christmas gifts using coupons.
Lucky me (and you too!) that Coupon Chief has online coupons! The site provides a one stop coupon deal and discount resource for their site visitors.
There is coupons from PetsMart for my dogs and La Redoute coupons for my mom!

All of them are rated by the visitors (sign up and share your review/s!). So you can for example search and find the top rated London bars in a second! Which is a great idea if you want to make your stay as great as possible!

The fuzz about BlogRush
Written by Malin on September 17th, 2007 -
This is NOT a paid post!
You don’t think you have missed all the fuzz about BlogRush in almost every blog lately. BlogRush is a new site that promises lots of traffic to your site if you sign up and add a widget on your blog which will display headlines of other blogs and yours on their’s.
They say that “if your blog receives 100 page views in one day, then your blog will be displayed on other like-minded blogs a 100 times.
I find it hard to see how this would work. Some people might place their widget far down on their blog when you place it on the top. The chance is that more visitors will click the links on your blog, but no one will visit yours if they have their widget that far down. There are also several other reasons to why I’m skeptical about it…
So therefore I haven’t signed up yet. I will wait and see what results it will get on the other blogs before I dive in to the business. I wouldn’t want to pollute my sidebar more than I already have! ;)
